The beauty of plagiarism

Plagiarism is actually a beautiful thing. Let me explain. Without plagiarism there would be no such thing as getting credit for your work. Think about Einstein! Where would be today if we didn't where we came from. Isn't that a saying? You don't know where your going unless you know where you have been? Believe it or not, I could not find the person who I would give credit to for saying that. But it matters to me to look. I definitely do not want to take credit for somebody else's work. I know if I worked really hard on something or discovered something I want the credit I deserve. Everybody knows money makes the world go around. So how are you going to get paid for an invention if there is no protection against thieves. Another thing to think about is that if no one person got credit for there work then nobody would share their secrets with the world for the fear of thievery of their work. Plain and clear the world is a better place when proper credit is given.

  1. I have to say that you make some good points here Susan. It seems that giving the proper credit to someones work is a way of documenting what happens in the course of time as well, depending on how you look at things. The sad thing is, it can be hard to prove that something we have said or written is even our own. It would be just as difficult to prove it as it would be to get a patent on an invention.
